Currently the limitation with Datasnipper is that when I use the Sum All function across multiple pages, the sum determined by the feature is sometime inaccurate as some pages would have been snipped at the incorrect sections. Data snipper should consider innovative ways to improve the accuracy which I think can be corrected by being able to set parameters to guide datasnipper on which sections of the pages to sum all.
The current Data snipper technology requires users to adjust the snipped rows and columns individually (i.e adjustments of the column sizes is done line by line ) which is inefficient . It would be beneficial to automate the process of editing your table snip.
Iβm certain this was previously suggested on the old ideas submissions site but having spellcheck available in financial statement suite would be a great time saver for teams. Theyβd still have to read everything to make sure it made sense but it would stop slliy tpyos form gtetnig thorughβ¦ especially those you can read really easily!
I am looking forward to this functuality in Datasnipper that would allow for cross-referencing TB to Notes of the financial statement, then Notes to the primary statement.
I understand from a recent webinar that the internal consistency suggestions are based on the note numbers provided in the balance sheet/statement of financial position. It would be helpful to show suggestions for any numbers which are also found in the accounts. For example matching the profit figure between a directors report and the profit and loss statement or agreeing a cash balance across all the places it appears instead of just a cash note where one exists. I appreciate prioritising the figures referenced in the note but if everything else could also be suggested with a different colour then boarder consistency checks could be done more quickly.
We would prefer if this option could be disabled so tick marks can only be added where the sum/consistency has been verified individually.
Datasnipper should consider making it easier to change the icons that appear when using the validation and exception snips. Currently I cannot set a standard icon of my choice to always be used when using these features.
A proper working log of all the activity a user have performed should be saved for documentation purpose.
