I’m having trouble with DataSnipper when trying to extract a table from page 68 of this annual report:

https://s25.q4cdn.com/626766191/files/doc_financials/2023/ar/final-ars14.pdf

The data isn’t coming out right; it’s all misaligned and messy. Has anyone else run into this issue? If you have a moment, could you try extracting that table using DataSnipper and let me know if it works for you? If you’re able to get a clean extraction, I’d really, really appreciate it if you could email it to me; that would save me a lot of time.

Thanks so much!

Hi @Charlie Simmons , welcome to the DataSnipper community 😊

I asked for one of our colleagues to help me look into what you are reporting and they were able to resolve this quite easily and quickly. I’ll email you a quick video that should showcase it.

For future viewers of the thread, we believe the issue might have been with OCR being enabled. The document is very clear and well structured and in those cases running OCR over it might mess things up instead of improving them.

Hope this fully solves this Charlie 😁

Thanks @Marios Morad, Charlie if you continue to have any issues, I am happy to help. Just let me know.

Wow, thanks for replying so fast @Marios Morad! I just got your email with the video explainer attached. That’s so helpful! I’m extremely grateful that you made that video, I just watched it on my iPad.

I’m travelling today and won’t be back in the office til Wednesday. Could you do me a massive favour and send me that excel file you made in the video?

That will save me remaking it when I get back :)

Thank you
C

Hi @Charlie Simmons very happy to have been able to help and thank you @Drew for offering as well 😁

I’ve sent you the file as well now so this should also hopefully save you some work Charlie. Which should hopefully then mean you get a few more hours to enjoy on the weekend and that would be what we are after here hehe

Have a lovely weekend!

@Charlie Simmons  Sorry to bump this, just wanted to confirm that you got everything you needed 😊
